DON'T CALL IT A COMEBACK

Wrap dresses are making a MAJOR statement this season! Read up on a little insight about the style from Emily!

The iconic wrap dress, made most famous by none of than Diane Von Furstenberg, never really left the fashion scene, but it’s having a major shining moment this spring. In mini, midi, and maxi lengths, you’ll be seeing a ton of wrap skirts and dresses in stores, on your favorite fashion icons, and worn by the hottest celebs. They offer a flattering shape that draws attention to the waist for a slimming effect. What I love about the wrap dress is the timeless feminine feel. While the wrap dress was made most famous in the 70s, it existed in fashion for several decades prior. It’s rare to find a style that has so effortlessly made it’s way into the closets of so many women for such a long time. Diane made the classic collared wrap dress famous, and from this iconic shape bloomed several beautiful takes on the classic look. Now you’ll find this shape with plunging necklines, flowing sleeves and skirts, cold shoulders or spaghetti straps, and endless patterns. For dressier events, I’ve loved the midi-length wrap dress, particularly in a silky material. For a more casual look, an adorable knee-length dress is an easy go-to. What I love about the style pictured is the modern twist of the cold-shoulder, another huge trend this season. Check out this style online, or come visit us in store!
